Stoic Focus
I built Stoic Focus because I kept opening new tabs to "check one thing" and surfacing 20 minutes later with a hazy recollection of the original task.
The extension temporarily blocks websites you can't trust yourself with, for as long as you ask it to—anywhere from 1 minute to 24 hours. Presets are present to save you time. ~200 motivational Stoic and focus quotes are layered in to (hopefully) keep you on track. Overrides are available...if you're willing to type "This is not a distraction" into the overlay 😉.
Built to reduce context-switching, encourage intentional in-browser work sessions, and stop "checking that one thing".
