Recsys-ish is a proof of concept for chat-based product recommendations.

The idea: instead of filtering or sorting, you describe what you actually care about (price, use, lifestyle, etc.), the model does the comparison legwork, and it returns a shortlist with reasoning attached in an easily digestible UI.

I'm building it as much to explore how AI/ML recommendations work as to answer the question: can we do product recommendations and product comparison better?

Looking forward to getting the answer—and/or learning a lot trying.

Building in React, Next.js, and Claude Sonnet. Building with Vercel + Claude Code + Claude Design + Cursor + Supabase.
